Martin, Juergens lead Women's Lacrosse to 22-7 win at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team earned a 22-7 road win at Muskingum in an Ohio Athletic Conference contest on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

- Senior Elena Martin (Canfield) led ONU with nine points on seven goals and two assists.
- Freshman Gabby Juergens (Springfield/Northwestern) had career-highs of eight points on six goals and two assists.
- Freshman Clarissa Hamilton (Marysville) added four goals and one assist in the contest.
- Senior Lydia Lehman (West Chester/Lakota West) had a team-high four assists.
- Martin, Juergens, and Hamilton all found the net in the first period for ONU, to take a 5-2 lead.
- The Orange and Black added five more goals in the second period, extending the lead to 10-5 going into halftime.
- Hamilton opened the second half by finding the back of the net to extend the Ohio Northern to 11-5.
- The Polar Bears had a 4-0 run and a 3-0 run in the third period, making it 18-7 heading into the fourth period.
- Northern's defense held Muskingum scoreless for 22:46 during the second half.
- Sophomore Kara Fox (South Euclid/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) had six saves and the win in goal for Ohio Northern.
