Martin's six goals lead Women's Lacrosse to a 16-5 road win at Trine (Ind.)

ANGOLA, Ind. —Senior Elena Martin (Canfield) led the way with six goals and an assist to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team to a 16-5 victory at Trine (Ind.) on a windy and cold Wednesday night.

- Freshman Gabby Juergens (Springfield/Northwestern) added three goals and one assist for Northern.
- Senior Lydia Lehman (West Chester/Lakota West) had two goals and three assists in the contest.
- Junior Abbi Arnold (Pickerington/Central) contributed one goal and three assists for Ohio Northern.
- Freshman Clarissa Hamilton (Marysville) found the net to put ONU on the scoreboard in the first period.
- The Orange and Black held a 3-2 lead at the end of the first period.
- Martin and Arnold scored back-to-back goals to open the second period to extend the lead to 5-2.
- After Trine found the net twice, the Polar Bears ended the second period on a 3-0 run extending the lead to 7-4 heading into halftime.
- The Ohio Northern defense held the Thunder to just one goal, while ONU offense added five goals to lead 13-5 going into the fourth period.
