Men's Lacrosse starts fast, posts 16-4 victory at Concordia Wisconsin in First Round of NCAA III Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team posted a dominating 16-4 victory at Concordia Wisconsin in the First Round of the NCAA III Tournament on a chilly and overcast Wednesday afternoon on the shores of Lake Michigan.

The Game
- The Polar Bears took control early on, racing to a 5-0 lead with 1:27 left in the opening period.
- Sophomore Cooper Mulligan (Middletown/Bishop Fenwick) had a first half hat trick, scoring three times in the first 18:23 of the contest as ONU ran out a 10-1 advantage.
- Mulligan finished with four goals and two assists for six points.
- Northern led 5-1 after the first period, 10-2 at halftime and 12-4 after three quarters.
- Freshman Aidan Sexton (Milford) had a five-goal hat trick and an assist for six points.
- Sophomore Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) had 10 saves in goal and earned the win for Ohio Northern.
- Freshman Landon Laney (Durham, N.C./Westtown) had three points on two goals and an assist.

- The Polar Bears out-shot the Falcons 48-40, but CUW had the ground ball advantage 35-30.
