Martin, Murdock each score four goals to lead Women's Lacrosse to a 17-6 victory at Southwestern (Tex.)

The Game 

• Senior Elena Martin (Canfield) led the Orange and Black with four goals and an assist.
• Sophomore Jaxsyn Murdock (Galloway/Alder) added a four-goal hat trick in the contest. 
• Senior Lydia Lehman (West Chester/Lakota West) had one goal and four assists for Northern. 
• Freshman Amber Regan (Dublin/Bishop Watterson) added a three-goal hat trick in the game. 
• After two Pirate goals to open the game, the Polar Bears responded with a 6-0 run in the first period. 
• Freshman Clarissa Hamilton (Marysville) found the net in the second period to extend the ONU lead to 7-3.
• The Polar Bear defense led 12-4 at halftime. 
• Martin found the the net to open the third period extending the lead to 13-4.
• Southwestern was led by Sydney Martin with three goals in the contest.
• Sophomore Kara Fox (South Euclid/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) had nine saves and earned the win in goal for Ohio Northern. 
• ONU out-shot SU 35-21 and had the ground ball advantage 38-37.

• Martin leads the Polar Bears in scoring this season with 24 points on 17 goals and seven assists.
• Hamilton is second with 16 points on 14 goals and two assists. 
• Senior Emma Hoersten (Hilliard/Davidson) is first in ONU history in career goals with 135 and second in points with 166. 
• She also has the ONU career record in free-position goals with 44.
• Martin is second in points with 154 and third in career goals with 116.
• She is second in draw controls with 206 and is fourth with 38 assists.
• Head coach Margo Vandeveld is in her third season at Ohio Northern and has a 23-20 record, a winning percentage of .534.
