Chaney leads Men's Lacrosse to a 16-5 victory at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team earned a 16-5 road win at Ohio Athletic Conference foe Muskingum on a cool and windy Saturday afternoon.
The Basics

The Game
- Junior Jack Chaney (Westerville/South) led the Orange and Black with five points on two goals and three assists.
- Freshman Aidan Sexton (Milford) added four points on three goals and an assist.
- Ohio Northern opened the game on a 3-0 run to take an early lead.
- Senior Mark Mintzlaff (St. Louis, Mo./Country Day) scored the only goal in the second period to extend the lead to 5-1.
- Chaney and senior J.D. Hale (West Chester/Lakota West) scored back-to-back goals to begin the third period to take a 7-1 lead.
- Northern led 10-3 going into the fourth period.
- After two Muskingum goals, ONU scored four unanswered goals to secure the lead and the victory.
- Sophomore Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) had six saves in just more than 57 minutes to earn the win in goal for Northern.
- ONU out-shot MU 57-22 and won the ground ball battle 42-19.
