Women’s Indoor Track and Field posts 10 top-6 finishes at Polar Bear Final Qualifier

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team posted 10 top-six finishes in the Polar Bear Final Qualifier on Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.
Freshman Samantha Roth (Brunswick) finished first in the two-woman field in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:55.94.
Sophomore Olyvia Ashbrook (Johnstown/Northridge) posted a pair of top-five showings, placing third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of :09.55 and fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:28.00.
Ashbrook's time in the 60-meter hurdles was a personal-best and ranks 10th all-time at ONU.
Freshman Claire Schweller (Paulding) finished fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.60 meters, and freshman Whitney Ho (Hilliard/Davidson) was fifth in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 13.98 meters, which ranks 10th all-time at ONU.
Sophomore Hannah Friend (Luckey/Eastwood) was sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 13.95 meters and sixth in the shot put with a mark of 11.00 meters.
Freshman Ellie Ford (Upper Arlington) finished sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.40 meters, sophomore Toria Ingalls (Tiffin/Columbian) was sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.59 meters, and freshman Kaitlin Prusnek (Findlay) was sixth in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:29.62.
The 2023 indoor track and field season concludes with the NCAA Division III Championships on March 10-11 in Birmingham, Ala.
