Friday's Meet: The Ohio Northern men's track and field team will wrap up its 2021 outdoor regular season on Friday at the OAC Tune-Up meet at Baldwin Wallace's Finnie Stadium ... Field events will start at Noon and running events at 4 pm ... All 10 OAC schools are expected to compete at the meet ... The top 8 places will score points in the team standings (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) ... The Polar Bears are coming off a victory at the 6-team ONU Mike Becraft Invitational on Saturday at Kerscher Stadium ... Junior Kayla Silva won the 200 in :25.58 and finished second in the long jump with a 4.84 meter leap ... Freshman J.J. Herron won the 800, crossing the line in 2:23.67 ... Freshman Rachel Thompson won the 5000 in 20:03.21 ... Head coach Jason Maus became just the second coach in ONU history to surpass the 400-win plateau in Women's Outdoor Track and Field and is now 401-158-3 in 12 seasons at Ohio Northern ... On the national level, the NCAA announced field sizes of 19 individuals and 14 relay teams for the 2021 NCAA Championships May 27-29 at Greensboro, N.C. ... Senior Stella DeWitt is 13th in the long jump (5.60m) ... Five more Polar Bears are within striking range of qualifying in three other events ... Senior Kylie Vestal currently ranks 20th in the 3,000 steeplechase (11:20.65) ... Silva is 22nd in the 100 (:12.25) and is 30th in the 200 (:25.45) ... In the 10,000-meter run, senior Kathleen Colvin is 36th (38:24.79), junior Tessa Pitcovich is 37th (38:26.58) and junior Rue Whitmore is 42nd (38:40.20) ... Sophomore Anna Schatzle is 34th in the pole vault (3.45m).
