ADA — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team opened its 2026 campaign with a 10-4 victory over Chatham (Pa.) on a pleasant Saturday afternoon.

- Freshman Ben Gridley (New Hudson, Mich./South Lyon) had a hat trick with 3 goals to lead the Orange and Black in his first collegiate contest.
- Sophomore Davis Rice (Vashon, Wash.) added two goals and an assist for Northern.
- Freshman Aidan Sexton (Milford) found the net twice to help the Polar Bears.
- Chatham was led by Jacob Lubawy with two goals and an assist.
- Trailing 3-2 with 8:26 left in the third quarter, the Polar Bears went on a 7-0 to take a 9-3 lead with 10:16 left in the game.
- The Cougars and Polar Bears were tied at 2 heading into halftime.
- Sophomore Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y./Macedon) earned the win and record 5 saves in goal for Ohio Northern.
- ONU out-shot CU 45-17 and had the ground ball advantage 32-20.
