Women's Cross Country squad ranked No. 25 in fifth weekly USTFCCCA poll
ADA — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team fell one spot to No. 25 in the fifth weekly United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association weekly poll on Wednesday.
The Polar Bears (39-5) was idle last week and fell one spot from No. 25 to No. 24 in the poll.
ONU was ranked No. 25 in the second and third polls, was No. 35 in the first weekly poll and were No. 33 in the USTFCCCA Preseason poll.
Northern received 90 points in voting conducted by the eight-member voting panel, six less than the 96 it received in last week's poll.
Williams (Mass.) moved up four spots and is No. 1 in this week's poll, defending national champion Middlebury (Vt.) and Washington (Mo.) are tied for second and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.) is ranked fourth.
The Polar Bears posted their 19th consecutive winning season, won their fifth OAC crown and was ranked as high as No. 14 in 2010.
Ohio Northern will return to action Saturday at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
