Baumann, Hoying named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District in Volleyball for 2025

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Olivia Baumann (Eaton) and sophomore Summer Hoying (Fort Loramie) were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District Volleyball Team for the 2025 season.
This marks the second career CSC Academic All-District accolade for Baumann and first for Hoying.
Baumann, a business administration major, led the team with 283 kills and 353 digs. She also had a .209 hitting percentage, 26 assists, 34 blocks and 22 service aces.
In her career, Baumann has 536 kills, 486 digs, 35 assists, 78 blocks and 29 aces.
Hoying was second on the team with 234 kills and 297 digs. In addition, she had 23 assists, 31 blocks and 25 service aces.
In two years at ONU, the nursing major has 446 kills, 534 digs, 32 assists, 62 blocks and 62 aces.
The CSC Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Jan. 13.
The Polar Bears finished 12-18 overall and were fifth in the OAC with a 4-4 mark in 2025 under third-year head coach Sophie Windover.
