Volleyball receives AVCA Team Academic Award for 17th consecutive season

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team received the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
This marks the 17th consecutive year and 23rd time since the program's inception in 1992 that ONU has earned the honor.
A record-setting 1,450 collegiate and high school teams from across the country received the award, which honors teams that maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
ONU was among six OAC teams and 228 NCAA Division III programs that were honored this year.
The Polar Bears finished the 2024 season at 20-9 overall and were fifth in the OAC with a 5-4 mark.
Northern opens its 2025 season at the Hope (Mich.) Tournament under third-year head coach Sophie Windover.
