Volleyball remains at No. 11 AVCA poll for third consecutive week

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team remained ranked No. 11 in the eighth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears (20-4 overall, 5-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 1,132 points, 51 more than in the seventh weekly poll when ONU was also ranked No. 11.
Ohio Northern has been ranked No. 11 for three consecutive weeks.
Northern was ranked No. 12 in the fifth weekly poll, No. 15 in the fourth poll, No. 16 in the third poll, was No. 21 in the first and second polls and No. 23 in the preseason poll.
Chicago (Ill.) moved into first place this week with 1,916 points and 50 first place votes. Calvin (Mich.) remained second with 1,887 points and 25 first place votes and Emory (Ga.) fell to third with 1,788 points and one first place vote.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Heidelberg for a 7 pm match at Sieberling Gymnasium.
