Volleyball moves up to No. 22 in eighth weekly AVCA poll

ADA – Ohio Northern is ranked No. 22 in the eighth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association poll on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears received 311 points in the poll, 62 more than the 249 total points they received when ranked No. 23 in last week's poll.
ONU was ranked No. 19 in the sixth poll, No. 17 in the fifth poll, No. 16 in the fourth poll, No. 15 in the third poll, No. 20 in the second poll, No. 18 in the first poll and was No. 19 in the preseason poll.
Northern went 2-0 last week, outlasting Heidelberg in a 5-set victory before sweeping Capital on Senior Day.
Calvin (Mich.) is atop the poll with 1737 points and 64 first place votes, Johnson & Wales (R.I.) is second with 1618 points and two first place votes, and Wittenberg is third with 1582 points and three first place votes.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to Otterbein for a 7 pm match at the Rike Center in Westerville.
