Volleyball is ranked No. 23 in seventh weekly AVCA poll

ADA – Ohio Northern is ranked No. 23 in the seventh weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association poll on Tuesday.
Northern received 249 points in the poll, 223 less than the 472 total points it received when ranked No. 19 in last week's poll.
ONU was ranked No. 17 in the fifth poll, No. 16 in the fourth poll, No. 15 in the third poll, No. 20 in the second poll, No. 18 in the first poll and was No. 19 in the preseason poll.
The Polar Bears went 2-3 last week, sweeping OAC foe Wilmington and Elmhurst (Ill.) and falling to No. 1 Calvin (Mich.), Susquehanna (Pa.) and then-No. 16 Hope (Mich.)
Calvin is atop the poll with 1709 points and 51 first place votes, Johnson & Wales (R.I.) is second with 1629 points and nine first place votes and Wittenberg is third with 1557 points and five first place votes.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday night when they host Heidelberg in a 7 pm match at the ONU Sports Center.
