Volleyball ranked No. 17 in fifth weekly AVCA poll

ADA – Ohio Northern is ranked No. 17 in the fifth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association poll on Tuesday.
Northern received 671 points in the poll, 43 less than the 724 total points it received when ranked No. 16 in last week's poll.
ONU was ranked No. 15 in the third weekly poll, No. 20 in the second poll, No. 18 in the first poll and was No. 19 in the preseason poll.
The Polar Bears are coming off a 2-0 week with a 3-1 victory at John Carroll and a 3-0 sweep of Marietta to open Ohio Athletic Conference play.
Calvin (Mich.) is atop the poll with 1750 points and all 70 first place votes, Colorado College is second with 1571 points and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.) is third with 1553 points.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to Baldwin Wallace for a 7 pm match.
