Sophomore Chelsea Huppert named OAC Volleyball Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Chelsea Huppert (Bremen, Ind.) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 9-15.

Huppert led the Polar Bears (21-4 overall, 4-1 OAC) to a perfect 4-0 week, including OAC victories over Heidelberg and John Carroll.

The sophomore ranked second on the team during the week with 44 kills, while hitting a solid .333.

Huppert also had a phenomenal week defensively, recording 14 blocks, including a game-high six blocks in a 3-0 sweep over Rose-Hulman (Ind.) on Friday afternoon.

The Polar Bears return to action on Tuesday evening as they travel to Wilmington to take on the Quakers at 7 pm.
