Sophomore Haley Potters leads women's volleyball to 22-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-12 victory over Kenyon

ADA — Sophomore Haley Potters led the Ohio Northern volleyball team to a 22-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-12 victory over Kenyon Tuesday evening at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 9-4 on the year, while the Ladies drop to 6-4.
Potters recorded a game-high 16 kills while hitting a game-best .625.
Junior Ashley Borchers recorded a double-double for Northern with 10 kills, a game-high 46 assists and seven digs.
Senior Kaitlann Hogrefe recorded four blocks on the evening and surpassed former Polar Bear Diane Gehret for tenth all-time in career blocks at ONU with 264.
Hogrefe added 15 kills and senior Ellie Gillespie added 10 kills for ONU.
Junior Kristin Sessler posted a game-high 22 digs on the evening and also added four kills for the Polar Bears.
After dropping set one, Northern would find its stride in set two, as they would hit .548 and record 18 kills to knot the match at 1-1.
After Kenyon closed the gap to 16-17 in set three, Northern would close the set out on a 8-2 run and go on to take the set 25-18.
In set four, the Polar Bears would record 13 kills while hitting .419 en route to a 25-12 victory.
ONU hit .358 on the evening with 65 kills, while Kenyon hit .155 and recorded 43 kills.
Northern will travel to Muskingum Friday evening as they compete in the OAC/HCAC Challenge and take on Transylvania (Ky.) at 3 pm. ONU will also play Hanover (Ind.) Friday evening at 7 pm.
