BLUFFTON — Ohio Northern swept Alma (Mich.) and Augustana (Ill.) at the Bluffton Spiketacular on Saturday at the Sommer Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-1, while Alma falls to 0-4 and the Vikings fall to 2-2.
Against Alma, ONU sophomore Haley Potters had 13 kills and senior Ellie Gillespie had 10 kills as Ohio Northern topped the Scots 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.
Against Augustana, the Polar Bears were led by sophomore Claire Heitkamp with 11 kills in the 25-21, 25-20, 25-17 victory.
Junior Ashley Borchers dished out 74 assists, sophomore Megan Nieszala had 38 digs and junior Kristin Sessler had 29 digs on the day for ONU.
Potters was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.
The Polar Bears will return to action Sept. 11-12 at he Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.
