Eight Polar Bears named All-Great Lakes Region in Women's Outdoor Track and Field in 2026 by USTFCCCA

ADA — Ohio Northern had eight student-athletes named All-Great Lakes Region in women's outdoor track and field for the 2026 season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The top eight individuals in each event and each member of the top eight relay teams earned All-Region honors.
Senior Natalie Armbruster (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) earned All-Region accolades in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:08.80, ranking her eighth in the region.
Seniors Claire Schweller (Paulding) and Ellie Ford (Upper Arlington) were each named All-Region in the pole vault. Schweller leads the region with a vault of 4.00 meters and Ford ranks third with a height of 3.71 meters.
Sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering (Freeport, Maine) and senior Riley Heitkamp (Fort Loramie) each earned All-Region honors in the high jump. Baker-Schlendering ranks second in the region with a jump of 1.75 meters and Heitkamp is tied for seventh with a jump of 1.62 meters.
Juniors Katelyn Wagner (Sycamore/Wynford) and Anna Brady (Sidney) were each named All-Region in the shot put. Wagner is second in the region with a throw of 13.60 meters and Brady ranks seventh with a toss of 13.04 meters.
Junior Katie Floyd (Swanton) was named All-Region in the javelin, ranking fifth with a throw of 37.74 meters.
Schweller, Wagner and Baker-Schlendering all qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in their respective events.
The 2026 outdoor season concludes May 21-23 at the NCAA Championships in La Crosse, Wis. The top 22 individuals in each event and top 16 school relay teams will qualify for the national meet.
