Wagner wins shot put as Women's Outdoor Track and Field competes at Mount Union Last Chance Meet

ALLIANCE - Junior Katelyn Wagner (Sycamore/Wynford) won the shot put as the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team competed at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet.

The Basics

• There was no team scoring.
• Record: Ohio Northern (40-9 Overall).
• The meet consisted of athletes from 39 programs across all NCAA and NAIA divisions.
• Venue: Kehres Stadium - Alliance, Ohio.

ONU Individuals

• Wagner won the shot put, heaving an impressive 13.60 meters. She was also 11th in the discus at 33.43 meters.
• Senior Ellie Ford (Upper Arlington) was 8th in the pole vault, clearing 3.53 meters.

Notables

• The meet consisted of 19 events - 8 field events, nine running events, and two relays.
• Wagner's throw of 13.60 meters is a new career best and the 3rd best in ONU history.
• Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 550-182-3 in women's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .748. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
