Armbruster, Schweller, Roth win events as Women's Outdoor Track and Field leads after day one of OAC Championships

NEW CONCORD - The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team won three of seven events to race into first place on the first day of the 2026 OAC Championships on Thursday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern is in 1st place of 9 teams with 93 points through 7 of 21 events after Day 1.

ONU Individuals
- Senior Natalie Armbruster (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) won the steeplechase in 11:08.80.
- Senior Claire Schweller (Paulding) won the pole vault title for the fifth time in her career by clearing 3.71 meters.
- Senior Samantha Roth (Brunswick) won the 10k in 38:13.03.
- Junior AnnaSophia Gower (Perrysburg) was second in the steeplechase in 11:36.90 to earn All-OAC honors.
- Senior Ellie Ford (Upper Arlington) earned All-OAC accolades in the pole vauly by also clearing 3.71 meters.
- Junior Kalyn Lichtenberger (Marion/Pleasant) was third in the 10k in 38:45.88 to earn an All-Conference award.
- Junior Katie Floyd (Swanton) was all-OAC in the javelin, finishing third at 35.12 meters.
- Senior Kaitlin Prusnek (Findlay), freshman Allison Woodruff (Arlington/Riverdale), freshman Allyson Schultz (Copley/Revere) and sophomore Grace Chomic (Westerville/Columbus School for Girls) were third in the 4x800 relay in 9:40.36 to earn All-OAC kudos.
Notables
- The meet consists of 21 events - 7 field events, 11 running events, and 3 relays.
- Schweller is now a 5-time OAC Champion in the pole vault.
- Junior Katelyn Wagner (Sycamore/Wynford) was fifth the discus with a heave of 37.88 meters, which puts her ninth all-time in ONU history in the event.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 550-182-3 in women's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .748. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
