Women's Outdoor Track and Field competes at Hillsdale Tune Up

HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team had a great showing Friday and Saturday at the Hillsdale Tune Up.
The Basics

ONU Individuals
- Sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering (Freeport, Maine) won the high jump, clearing 1.59 meters.
- Junior Anna Brady (Sidney) took 2nd in the discus, throwing 37.93m.
- Senior Riley Heitkamp (Fort Loramie) finished 3rd in the high jump, clearing 1.59m.
- Senior Stacey Legg (Monroeville) came 3rd in the triple jump, leaping 10.40m.
- Senior Claire Schweller (Paulding) was 3rd in the pole vault, leaping 3.73m.
- Junior Katie Floyd (Swanton) finished 4th in the javelin, launching 37.74m.
- Junior Katelyn Wagner (Sycamore/Wynford) came 4th in the discus, heaving 36.99m; she was also 4th in the shot put, throwing 13.24m, and 5th in the javelin, launching 34.65m.
- Sophomore Lauren Gossett (Beloit/West Branch) was 4th in the triple jump, leaping 10.07m.
- Sophomore Tatum Walsh (Lima/Bath) finished 4th in the 400m dash in 58.06s; she was also 6th in the 100 in 12.58s.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 20 events - 10 field events, 8 running events, and 2 relays.
- Floyd's javelin throw of 37.64 meters is her career-best and improves on her No. 4 ranking in ONU history in the event.
- Brady's throw of 37.93 meters is a personal record and the 9th best in ONU history.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 550-182-3 in women's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .748. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
