Women's Outdoor Track and Field wins 6th annual Mike Becraft Invitational in impressive fashion

ADA - The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team dominated this weekend, winning 12 total events as they championed the 6th annual Mike Becraft Invitational at home.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 1st of 3 teams with 165 points.
- Record: Ohio Northern (32-9 Overall).
- Manchester (Ind.) took 2nd place with 74 points, while Bluffton was 3rd with 31 points.

ONU Individuals
- Sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering (Freeport, Maine) won the high jump, tying her ONU record leap of 1.75 meters.
- Senior Claire Schweller (Paulding) won the pole vault by clearing 4.00 meters and the triple jump, leaping 10.52 meters.
- Schweller was also part of the 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Lauren Gossett (Beloit/West Branch), Walsh and sophomore Kendyl Stone (Ashland) that won in 49.19 seconds.
- Junior AnnaSophia Gower (Perrysburg) won the 1500m run in 4:56.18.
- Junior Katelyn Wagner (Sycamore/Wynford) won the shot put with a heave of 13.12 meters.
- Sophomore Grace Chomic (Westerville/Columbus School for Girls) won the 400 in 1:00.55.
- Sophomore Je'Leycia Procter (Dayton/Early College) won the 100 hurdles in 14.60 seconds.
- Sophomore Katelyn Stechschulte (Findlay) won the long jump, leaping 5.10 meters.
- Sophomore Tatum Walsh (Lima/Bath) won the 100 in 12.53 seconds.
- freshman Allison Woodruff (Arlington/Riverdale) won the 3000m run in 10:54.29.
- ONU's 4x400m relay team of junior Maria Geiger (Newark/Catholic), freshman Ashlyn Gearhart (Casstown/Piqua), Woodruff, and freshman Allyson Schultz (Copley/Revere) won in 4:36.73.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 17 events - 8 field events, 7 running events, and 2 relays.
- Schweller's jump of 4.00 meters in the pole vault is now a personal record and 2nd best in ONU history.
- Walsh tied her career-best in the 100 with her :12.53 effort. She is still No. 6 in ONU history.
- Woodruff's time of 10:54.29 is now 9th all-time in ONU history.
- Junior Bridget Daly (Brunswick) was second in the hammer at 44.50 meters, making her 10th all-time in the event.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 550-182-3 in women's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .748. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
