ADA — Sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering (Freeport, Maine) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Apr. 6-12.
This marks her fourth career Athlete of the Week accolade and fourth this season.
The recognition comes after breaking the ONU record and winning the high jump with a leap of 1.75 meters at the 2026 Tennessee Invitational.
She broke the previous school record of 1.70 meters set in 2006 by Sara McGinnis.
Baker-Schlendering now ranks 2nd nationally in the high jump this season.
The Polar Bears (30-9 Overall) will return to action on Friday and Saturday when they host the 6th annual Mike Becraft Invitational.
