Sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering named OAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

ADA — Sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering (Freeport, Maine) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 1-7.

This marks the first career Athlete of the Week accolade in her career.

The recognition comes after winning the high jump by clearing 1.67 meters at the Findlay Oiler Opener on Friday.

Ohio Northern finished third of eight teams with 51.5 points.

The Polar Bears (5-2 Overall) return to action Jan. 16 when they open the home portion of their schedule by hosting the second annual Lydic Invitational at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.
