Senior Olyvia Ashbrook named OAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Olyvia Ashbrook (Johnstown/Northridge) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of March 31-Apr. 6.
The recognition comes after winning three events to lead the women's track and field team to a victory at the Manchester (Ind.) Invitational on Saturday. Individually, she won the 100-meter hurdles in :15.08 and the 400 hurdles in 1:07.23. She was also part of the 4x400 relay team that won in 4:08.92.
Ashbrook ranks fourth in the OAC and 42nd nationally in the 100 hurdles. She ranks second in the OAC in the 400 hurdles and the 4x400 relay team ranks third in the OAC.
This is Ashbrook's first time receiving the honor in her career.
The Polar Bears will return to action next weekend at several different locations. Part of the team will compete at the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan Friday and Saturday, some athletes will compete at the Duke Invitational on Friday and Saturday and part of the team will compete at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
