Distance Carnival last weekend … ONU posted 23 top-10 finishes at the Tiffelberg Open … Senior Kenzie Detmer won the triple jump with a mark of 10.11 meters, and sophomores Chloe Gibson (10.11 meters) and Rylie Barrington (10.03 meters) were second and third … Freshmen Ellie Ford, Riley Heitkamp and Lindsay Weininger tied for first in the high jump with a mark of 1.52 meters … The team of junior Allie Starner, sophomore Kendra Krichbaum and freshmen Stacey Legg and Haley Cannon won the 4x100 relay in :51.82 … Senior Tessa Pitcovich led the Polar Bears at the Distance Carnival, finishing eighth in the 10,000 meters in a personal-best 36:07.00, which ranks second all-time at ONU … Pitcovich was subsequently named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week … Sophomore Ashley Hockstok was 14th in the 10,000 meters in 37:00.60, and freshman Kennedy Rader was 16th in 37:37.58 … Those times rank fifth and eighth, respectively, in program history … Pitcovich, Hockstok and Rader are currently ninth, 16th and 20th, respectively, in the NCAA Division III national rankings in the 10,000 … Senior Taylor Ellerbrock placed 19th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Distance Carnival with a time of 11:38.84, which currently ranks 31st nationally … Pitcovich and senior Anna Schatzle qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2022, placing 17th in the 10,000 meters and 20th in the pole vault, respectively.
