Women's Outdoor Track and Field finishes third at Heidelberg Tyson Invitational

WESTERVILLE — The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team finished third of five teams at the Heidelberg Tyson Invitational on Saturday at Hoernemann Stadium.
The Polar Bears (14-6 overall) finished with 107 points.
Freshman Alexis Starner (Wellington) led ONU with a victory in the 200-meter dash in :27.38 and a second place finish in the 100 in :13.03.
Junior Kayla Silva (Westerville/South) won the 100 in :12.34.
Freshmen J.J. Herron (Miamisburg) and Hope Stanley (Geneva) also won events.
Herron won the 400 in 1:01.04 and Stanley won the javelin with a toss of 31.92 meters.
Baldwin Wallace won the team title with 153 points, Wilmington was second with 111.5 points, Marietta was fourth with 106 points and Heidelberg was fifth with 26.5 points.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday at the OAC Elite Meet at Otterbein.
