Sophomore Emily Richards named the USTFCCCA DIII Women's National Athlete of the Week

ADA — Sophomore Emily Richards was named the USTFCCCA NCAA & NJCAA DIII Women's National Athlete of the Week for the week of April 26.

The sophomore earns her second National Athlete of the Week honor.

Richards finished second in the 800-meter run at the Jesse Owens Track Classic this past weekend where she ran the third fastest time in Division III history.

She posted a school record time of 2:05.54, ranking her first in the nation by more then four seconds in the event.

The Polar Bears return to action Friday and Saturday as they compete at the Ohio Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships.
