Women's Track & Field lands five All-Region Winners for the 2015-16 indoor season

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's track and field team saw five members earn All-Region honors by The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Monday.
To be named All-Region, an athlete must either finish in the top-5 of an individual event or be part of a top-3 relay team.
The Polar Bears recieving this honor are junior Kelsey Commager in the triple jump, junior Allison Gast in the 60-meter hurdles, junior Dianna Johnson-Ward in the triple jump, freshman Maddy Reed in the pole vault, and sophomore Emily Richards in the 400-meter and the 800-meter run.
Commager currently holds the record in the triple jump with a leap of 36 feet 6.75 inches, she earns her first All-Region honor.
Gast has also had a successful indoor season, breaking the school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.96, as well as the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.96, 200-meter dash with a time of 26.81 and was a member of the 4x200 meter relay that broke the school record with a time of 1:46.80.
The junior also earns her first All-Region honor.
Also earning her first All-Region honor is Johnson-Ward.
She finished the indoor season with a season best jump of 36 feet 3.5 inches in the triple jump.
In the Pole Vault, Reed finished with a season best height of 11 feet 8.4 inches, earning her first All-Region honor.
Richards earns her second honor and currently holds the school record in the 800-meter run with an NCAA qulaifying time of 2:11.67.
She also holds school records in the 400-meter run with a time of 58.13, the 500-meter run with a time of 1:17.26 and was a member of the 4x200 meter relay that broke the school record with a time of 1:46.80.
