Men's and Women's Track and Field to open 2016 campaign at OAC Split Meet

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's track and field teams are set to open their 2016 indoor campaigns on January 22 at the OAC Split Meet at Mount Union.
The Polar Bears will host three indoor meets at the ONU Sports Center, including the annual Joe Banks Invitational on Feb. 6, ONU Invitational on Feb. 20 and the Polar Bear Last Chance Invitational on Mar. 4.
Northern will compete in the Grand Valley State (Mich.) Invitational on Jan. 30 and will also compete in the Cedarville Invitational on Mar. 26 during the indoor portion of its schedule.
The OAC Championships for indoor competition will be held at Marietta on Feb. 26-27.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held on Mar. 11-12 in Grinnell, Iowa.
The Polar Bears will open the outdoor portion of their schedule with a trip to Muskingum, where they will compete in the Muskie Duals on Mar. 19.
ONU will also compete in the Centre (Ky.) Invitational Apr. 2, Ohio Wesleyan Marv Frye Invitational on Apr. 9, North Central (Ill.) Keeler Invitational on May 12-13 and the North Central (Ill.) Gregory Invitational on May 19-20.
The OAC Championships for outdoor competition will be held at Wilmington on April 29-30.
The NCAA Outdoor Championships will be held on May 26-28 in Wartburg, Iowa.
