Allison Gast leads Women's Outdoor Track & Field team at the Ohio Wesleyan Althoff Invitational

DELAWARE — Sophomore Allison Gast leads the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team at the non-scoring Althoff Invitational Monday and Tuesday located on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University at the George Gauthier Track.

The Polar Bear (52-10 overall) had five individuals place in the meet.

Gast garnered top finishes in the 100-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles. She finished second in the 100-meter dash in 12.78 seconds and fifth in the 100-hurdles in 15.51 seconds.

Senior Gabrielle Metzner also posted two top finishes, as she claimed third in the 100-hurdles in 14.87 seconds and fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 35'01".

Junior Sarah Ballmer posted a second place finish in the pole vault clearing a height of 11'10".

In the javelin, sophomore Kendra Paul took third with a throw of 124'11".

Sophomore Dianna Johnson-Ward claimed third in the triple jump with a distance of 35'04.5".

Ohio Northern will wrap up its regular season next Thursday-Friday at the North Central Gregory Invitational.
