Women's Track & Field tallys nine Top 3 finishes at Kenyon Spring Invite

GAMBIER - Ahead of the OAC Championships next weekend, the Ohio Northern women's track and field team competed at the unscored 2012 Kenyon Spring Invitational on Saturday.
Northern earned one first place finish, four second place finishes and four third place finishes.
Freshman Shannon Hageman had the only first-place finish for ONU in the long jump at 4.92 meters.
Second placers included senior Aubrie Stechschulte in the pole vault (3.20 meters), junior Vicki Moga in the high jump (1.63 meters) and sophomore Emily Blum in the triple jump (10.20 meters).
Sophomore thrower Jessica Durham placed second in the shot put at 10.17 and third in the hammer throw at 33.52.
Also placing third was junior Jordan Buchanan in both the 200 dash (26.97) and the 400 dash (1:02.99). Sophomore Hannah Livengood had a third place finish in the discus at 34.51, while freshman Gabriele Metzner placed third in the 100 hurdles in 16.43.
The Polar Bears head to Wilmington for the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships next Friday and Saturday. Day 1 begins at noon and day 2 is set to begin at 10 a.m.
