Four qualify for this weekend's NCAA Track & Field Championships at Grinnell

ADA – Four individuals from the Ohio Northern men's and women's track & field teams were selected as a part of the field to compete at the 2012 NCAA Track & Field National Championships this weekend.
The national meet will be hosted by Grinnell (Iowa), Friday-Saturday, March 9-10.
Seniors Jacob Schwab, Dan Smith and Aubrie Stechschulte, and junior Alison Steinbrunner were selected for individual events.
Schwab is making his second straight appearance at the national meet in the 400 dash. He qualified for this year's championships at the 2012 OAC Indoor Championships at 49.17. Last year, Schwab finished eighth overall for All-America status.
Smith earned a spot in the mile in mid-February at the Grand Valley State Big Meet, finishing in 4:11.61. This is his first appearance at the NCAA championships.
Stechschulte is also making her debut appearance at the national meet. She posted her qualifying mark and earned the OAC individual title in the pole vault at the OAC Indoor Championships in late February, clearing 12-5.
Steinbrunner is making a repeat appearance at the NCAA championships in the 5,000 run. She automatically qualified this year at the GVSU Big Meet finishing in 17:14.92. She also repeated as OAC champion in the event in 17:43.46.
For each women's individual event, the top 15 declared athletes were accepted, while the top 13 athletes were accepted for each men's individual event.
