Steinbrunner and Sottoway lead Women's Track and Field at Northwest Ohio Invitational
FINDLAY — The Ohio Northern women's track and field team competed Friday evening in the Northwest Ohio Invitational, hosted by the University of Findlay.
The Polar Bears competed in the unscored event against area teams Findlay, Heidelberg, Tiffin, Defiance and Bluffton.
First-place finishers for Northern included junior Ashley Sottoway in the 500-meter dash (1:25.09), and sophomore Alison Steinbrunner in the 3,000-meter run (10:31.12).
Junior Mallory Bloom took third place in the 3,000 in 11:03.42.
Sophomore Lydia Weaver placed third in the 800-meter run in 2:27.72.
Senior Amanda Binkey also placed third in the one-mile run in 5:25.94 and junior Kelly Casanova was fourth in 5:27.18.
Ohio Northern will compete again on Saturday, Jan. 29, at the OAC Relays at Capital. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
