ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 13-19.
This is Bell's seventh career OAC Player of the Week honor and fourth this season, including her third in a row.
The most recent recognition comes after going 2-0 to lead the Polar Bears in a 7-0 sweep at Otterbein to clinch at least a share of its second consecutive OAC Regular Season title.
She won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Bell has a team-best 16 doubles wins and is 28-23 overall on the season.
She is 132-77 overall in her career and is ranked 9th all-time in overall wins at ONU. She also has 67 singles wins, which leaves her just one shy of breaking into ONU's Top-10 list in that category.
The No. 37-ranked Polar Bears (15-3 Overall, 3-0 OAC) will return to action on Wednesday at Baldwin Wallace at 3:30 p.m. where they can clinch the OAC Regular Season title outright.
