LIMA — Senior Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.), Abby Cruser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) and Jamie Hurst (Granger, Ind./Penn) led the No. 27-ranked Ohio Northern women's tennis team to a 7-0 sweep of Mount Union on Senior Day on Saturday.

  • Bell, Cruser and Hurst were three of the four players to go 2-0 on the day to lead the Polar Bears.

  • Hurst won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, Cruser won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and the pair combined to win 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.
  • Sophomore Lauren Okrainec (Ingersoll, ON, Canada/Ingersoll Collegiate) won 6-0, 5-2 (retired) at No. 2 singles and combined with freshman Amy Grace Beebe (Hudson/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) to win 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.
  • Seniors Jamie Hurst (Granger, Ind./Penn) and Abby Cruser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) each also posted two victories.
  • Freshman Audrey Austin (Perry) won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
  • Sophomore Leah Schleibaum (West Chester/Lakota West) won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.

  • Thus far this season, Cruser leads the Polar Bears with 32 wins, going a team-best 19-7 in singles and 13-11 in doubles.
  • Hurst is second with a 17-8 singles record.
  • Bell has a team-best 15 doubles wins.
  • Cruser is 132-78 overall in her career. She is tied for 6th all-time in ONU history with 75 singles wins and is ninth with 132 overall wins.
  • Bell is 130-77 overall in her career. Her 66 singles wins leaves her just two shy of cracking ONU's top-10 in that category and one shy of tying for 10th in overall wins.
