LIMA — Senior Jamie Hurst (Granger, Ind./Penn) notched her 100th career victory and senior Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.) had an impressive singles victory as the Ohio Northern women's tennis team opened its winter schedule with a tri-match with #12 Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) and #38 Hope (Mich.) indoors on Saturday.

The Basics

Records: Ohio Northern (1-2 Overall), #12 Carnegie Mellon (2-0 Overall), #38 Hope (1-3 Overall).
CMU defeated ONU 6-1, HC defeated ONU 6-1 and CMU topped HC 6-1.
Venue: Westwood Tennis Center - Lima, Ohio.

CMU Match Highlights

Bell defeated No. 18-ranked Shelly Zinchenko 7-6(2), 3-6, 10-5 at No. 1 singles to give ONU its score in impressive fashion.
The Tartans won all three doubles courts to take the doubles point.
CMU then won Nos. 2-6 singles to take the match.

Hope Match Highlights

Senior Abby Cruser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) won twice to lead the Polar Bears.
She won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles and combined with Hurst to win 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.
Hurst's win was the 100th of her Polar Bear career.
The Flying Dutch took the doubles point by winning doubles courts 2 and 3.

Thus far this season, Cruser leads the Polar Bears with a 12-11 overall record, going a team-best 7-5 in singles and 5-6 in doubles.
