Six Polar Bears named All-OAC in Women's Tennis; Swisher named OAC Coach of the Year

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Miranda Wills (Ada), juniors Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.), Abby Cruser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) and Jamie Hurst (Granger, Ind./Penn), and freshmen Lauren Okrainec (Ingersoll, ON, Canada) and Leah Schleibaum (West Chester/Lakota West) were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference for 2025 in voting conducted by the league's head coaches.
Third-year head coach Sean Swisher was also named the OAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
Bell and Okrainec were named First Team All-OAC.
Cruser and Hurst were named Second Team All-Conference.
Wills and Schleibaum were Honorable Mention selections.
Bell is now a three-time First Team All-OAC honoree.
She ended the season with a team-best 19 doubles wins, along with a 19-9 singles record and was second on the team with 38 overall wins. She also joined ONU's 100-Win Club this season.
In her career, Bell has an overall record of 103-55 with a 54-22 singles mark and 49-33 doubles record.
Okrainec had an overall record of 34-19 on the season, including a 18-12 singles record and 16-7 doubles mark.
She also won OAC Player of the Week two times this season.
Cruser and Hurst are now both three-time All-OAC selections.
Cruser led the team this season with a 42-17 overall record and was tied for first on the team with 25 singles wins. She also had a 17-12 doubles record. She became the newest member of ONU's 100-Win Club this season.
She has an overall career record of 100-60, which includes a 56-25 singles mark and a 44-35 doubles record.
Hurst tied for first on the team with 25 singles wins. She also had a 7-3 doubles mark for a 32-9 overall record.
In her career, Hurst is 90-45 overall with a 52-23 singles record and a 38-22 doubles mark.
Wills is now a two-time All-OAC honoree.
She had a team-best 19 doubles wins to go with a 10-6 singles record for an overall record of 29-13.
In her career, she is 80-36 overall with a 30-13 singles mark and 50-23 doubles record.
Schleibaum was 29-7 overall on the season with a 19-6 singles mark and 10-1 doubles record.
The Polar Bears finished the season 19-5 overall record and won the OAC Regular Season title with a 5-0 record. ONU also won its second consecutive OAC Tournament Title and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
