This Weekend's Championships: The second-seeded Ohio Northern women's tennis team will face third-seeded Otterbein in the OAC Tournament Semifinals at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason on Friday at 4:30 pm ... The ONU-OU winner will advance to the finals on Saturday at 2 pm against either top-seeded John Carroll or fourth-seeded Capital ... Ohio Northern its making its 19th consecutive appearance in the OAC Tournament and has competed in every OAC Tournament since the event's inception in 2002 ... ONU captured titles in 2002, 2005, 2009, 2012, 2013 and 2015 ... ONU has made it to the OAC Tournament finals seven of the past eight seasons and 16 times in the first 18 years of the event ... ONU received a first round bye as the No. 2 seed ... The Polar Bears are coming off a 5-4 loss to John Carroll on Sunday at the West Campus Courts on Senior Day ... Senior Mackenzie Wills and sophomore Jeorgia Templin won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles and senior Katie Curry and sophomore Regan Landis won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles ... After John Carroll won at No. 1 singles to tie the match at 2-2, Curry won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 singles to give ONU a 3-2 lead ... Wills finished the day with a tough 7-5, 3-6, 10-8 victory at No. 4 singles for ONU ... Ohio Northern is led in singles play this season Curry and Wills, who each have 8-0 records ... Curry and Landis are 9-0 in doubles play ... Templin is also undefeated in doubles play at 8-0 ... Curry leads the team with a perfect 17-0 overall record ... Wills is ONU's all-time career leader with 90 singles wins and 177 wins overall ... She is also second all-time at ONU with a doubles record of 87-31 and is just two wins shy of Meghan Letizia's record of 89 doubles wins from 2012-16 ... Curry ranks fifth all-time in ONU history with a 148-53 career record ... She also ranks third all-time in ONU history with a singles mark of 81-20. ... The Cardinals are looking for their sixth OAC Tournament title and their first since 2003 ... OU finished 5-2 in the regular season and advanced to the semifinals with a 5-0 victory over sixth-seeded Mount Union on Tuesday ... Erin Storrer leads Otterbein this season with a 7-1 record at No. 1 singles Madi Mueller is 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Jordyn Traxler and Rachelle Moses are 5-2 at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, respecitvely ... Mueller and Traxler are 7-1 at No. 2 doubles.

Head Coach Scott Wills: Wills is in his 20th season at the helm of the ONU women's tennis program … He currently stands first in coaching victories among all active Ohio college tennis coaches (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA) and is the winningest coach in school history with a 389-103 (.791) record, including a 147-16 (.902) mark in regular season conference competition … He has also coached the program to eight regular season conference crowns and six OAC Tournament titles ... He was recently recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as one of the top 10 all-time winning women's tennis coaches in the nation.
