Freshman Oliva Kesner named the OAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ADA — Freshman Olivia Kesner (Lima/Central Catholic)was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of April 19-25.

Kesner won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and joined junior Ola Latala (Grosse Isle, Mich.) to win 8-2 at No. 1 singles as Ohio Northern remained undefeated on the season with a 9-0 victory at Mount Union on Saturday.

She is 6-1 in singles play, 6-2 in doubles action and is 12-3 overall on the season this spring.

This is second time that an ONU player has been named the OAC Player of the Week this season.

The Polar Bears (8-0 overall, 6-0 OAC) will wrap up their regular season on Sunday when they host John Carroll at 2 pm in a battle of league unbeatens for with the OAC Regular Season title up for grabs.
