Saturday's Match: The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will continue its abbreviated 2021 season on Saturday with a 1 pm OAC contest against Muskingum ... A limited number of spectators will be allowed to attend the games based on the OAC's COVID-19 policy ... Each player will receive two admissions each game ... No tickets will be available to the general public ... ONU improved to 6-0 overall and stayed unbeaten in the OAC at 4-0 with a 6-3 OAC win over Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday ... Northern won four singles matches and two doubles matches ... Sophomore Regan Landis led the Polar Bears with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles and an 8-2 win with senior Katie Curry at No. 3 doubles ... Curry won her No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-1 ... Senior Mackenzie Wills won 6-1, 6-1 at No.5 singles and with sophomore Jeorgia Templin 8-4 at No.2 doubles ... Senior Jordan Dodson won 6-1, 6-1 at No.6 singles ... Wills is ONU's all-time career singles wins leader with 88 ... She is also tied for first all-time at ONU with a career record of 172-49 and is tied for second all-time with an 84-31 mark in doubles matches ... She needs only one more overall win to break the school record of 172 set by Meghan Letizia from 2012-16 ... Wills is also five doubles wins shy of Letizia's record of 89 ... Curry ranks seventh all-time in ONU history with a 143-53 career record ... She also ranks fourth all-time in ONU history with a singles mark of 79-20 ... The Muskies have dropped the first three matches of the season to Baldwin Wallace, Otterbein and Marietta ... The Muskies dropped 8-1 to Marietta on Monday.

Head Coach Scott Wills: Wills is in his 20th season at the helm of the ONU women's tennis program … He currently stands first in coaching victories among all active Ohio college tennis coaches (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA) and is the winningest coach in school history with a 387-102 (.791) record, including a 145-15 (.906) mark in regular season conference competition … He has also coached the program to eight regular season conference crowns and six OAC Tournament titles ... He was recently recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as one of the top 10 all-time winning women's tennis coaches in the nation.
