Women's Swimming and Diving tops Bluffton, falls at Ohio Wesleyan on tri-meet

DELAWARE — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team finished second at the Ohio Wesleyen Tri Meet Friday night.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished second of three at a tri-meet.
- Records: Ohio Northern (3-1 overall).
- Ohio Nothern beat Blufton 143-40.
- Ohio Northern lost to Ohio Wesleyan 134-84.

Meet Highlights
- Sophomore Abby Leatherman (Findlay/Van Buren) won the 100 breast in 1:12.87, was second in the 100 IM in 1:05.23 and was second in the 100 free in :58.12.
- Freshman Catherine Greenlee (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll) won the 100 free in 56.49, was second in the 50 free in 25.38 and was second in the 200 yard frees relay in 1:49.31.
- Freshman Sophia Rismiller (Westerville/Southled) lwon the 200 yard-free in 2:24.
- Senior Marisa Savini (Troy/Miami East) placed second in the 1 mtr diving with 88.75 points and was second in the 200 medlay relay in 2:06.
- Kate Kalmanowicz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) placed second in the 100 fly in 1:05, and was second in the 200 freestyle relay in 149.31.
- Senior Lindsay Weininger (Upper Sandusky), freshman Mia Musser (Kenton), senior Meghan Mattison (Easton Pa.) and Savani were second in the 200 medlay relay in 2:26.50.
- ophomore Liv Elliott (Marysville/Stem Early College) was second in the 1000 free in :12:31.26.
- Greenlee, sophomore Lila DeLong (New Albany), freshman Chloe Schopperth (Centerville), and Kalmanowicz placed second in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:49.31.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 13 events, including nine individual races, two diving events and two relays.
- Austin Veltman is 33-34 in his eighth season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
