Men’s, Women’s Swimming and Diving teams to open 2023-24 season Oct. 14 with tri-meet against Bethel (Ind.), Aquinas (Mich.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's swimming and diving teams will open their 2023-24 seasons on Oct. 14 with a tri-meet against Bethel (Ind.) and Aquinas (Mich.) in Elkhart, Ind., under sixth-year head coach Austin Veltman.

The Polar Bears begin their Ohio Athletic Conference schedule on Oct. 20 at Wilmington and will host Franklin (Ind.) and OAC foe Heidelberg in a tri-meet on Oct. 27.

ONU closes the month hosting an OAC dual against John Carroll on Oct. 28.

The Polar Bears will compete in the Calvin (Mich.) Quad on Nov. 3-4 and the Wabash (Ind.) Invitational on Nov. 17-19 to close out the 2023 portion of their schedule.

Northern opens 2024 hosting Wooster on Jan. 12, Mount Union on Jan. 13 and a tri-meet with Ohio Wesleyan and Bluffton on Jan. 19.

The Polar Bears travel to Baldwin Wallace on Jan. 20 and Grove City (Pa.) on Jan. 27 before competing in the OAC Championships on Feb. 14-17 in Akron.

The NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships are scheduled for March 20-23 in Greensboro, N.C.

In 2022-23, Northern's men were 7-2 overall, including 3-1 in the OAC, and finished third at the OAC Championships, while the ONU women were 4-5 overall, 2-2 in the OAC and third at the OAC Championships.
