Freshman Mara Brown named OAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Mara Brown (Freemont/Ross) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Oct. 25-31.

This marks Brown's first career OAC Swimmer of the Week honor.

Brown won all three individual events she swam as well as partaking on a top-finishing relay Saturday in a home dual meet against John Carroll.

Brown won the 100-yard back in 1:12.37, 100-yard fly in 1:02.54 and the 200-yard IM in 2:20.49.

She also swam in the 200-yard medley relay with her team finishing first in 1:54.31.

The Polar Bears took home a 157-139 victory against John Carroll.

Ohio Northern returns to the pool Friday at the Calvin Quad in Grand Rapids, Mich.
