Megan Lubinski, Abby Schauer win titles to lead Ohio Northern on final day of Women's OAC Swimming & Diving Championships

GENEVA — Junior Megan Lubinski (Loveland/Brighton) and Sophomore Abby Schauer (Beavercreek) each won individual titles to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team on the third and final day of the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at the SPIRE Institute.
The Polar Bears finished third of five teams in the three-day meet with 590 points in the 20 events.
Lubinski completed the sweep of the spring events, winning the 100 free in :53.07. She also won the 50 free on Thursday.
Schauer led a 1-2 ONU finish by winning the 200 back in 2:08.00.
Sophomore Shelby Starkey (Bellefontaine finished second right behind Schauer in 2:08.44 to earn All-Conference honors.
Freshman Katie Bend (Carmel, Ind.) was third in the 1650 free in 18:12.21
Freshman Sofia Vazquez (Fulshear, Tex./Tompkins)was All-OAC in the 3-meter diving, finishing second with 363.35 points,
The top three in the individual events and the top two relay teams earn All-Conference accolades.
John Carroll won the team crown with 1,017 points. Mount Union was second with 659 points, Baldwin Wallace was fourth with 395 and Wilmington was fifth with 276 points.
