This Weekend's Meet: The Polar Bears will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., for the Calvin (Mich.) Winter Invitational meet ... #26 Calvin (Mich.), #35 Albion (Mich.) and Carthage (Wis.) are expected to join #39 Ohio Northern at the meet ... The meet will feature 20 events over three sessions Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday evening and will mirror closely the format of the OAC Championships in February ... ONU is coming off a thrilling 152-147 victory over John Carroll on Saturday on Faculty Appreciation Day at the ONU Sports Center ... With the score tied at 141-all, the team of junior Emily Uhrin, freshman Kierra Watson, junior Molly Wheeler and sophomore Sydney Veon would seal the victory as they won the 400-yard free relay in 3:47.87 on the final race of the day to send the Polar Bears to the victory ... Senior Allison Lohnes led the way for Northern with three first place finishes, while junior Jill Chapman posted two first place finishes ... Lohnes got her first victory in the 100 back, finishing in :59.89. Lohnes also won the 200 back, finishing in 2:11.57. The senior would also take first place in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing in 2:14.91 ... Chapman won the 50 free in :24.70 and also won the the 100 free, finishing in :55.03 ... Sophomore Kasey Mucher would rally in the last 25 yards to win the 1000-yard free in 11:37.00 ... Uhrin won the 200-yard free in 2:03.21.

ONU head coach Peggy Ewald: Ewald is in her 12th season at ONU and is the program's all-time winningest coach with a 73-59 women's dual meet record, a winning percentage of .553. She has been named OAC Women's Coach of the Year five times and had guided the Polar Bear women to seven OAC Championships crowns and nine OAC Regular Season titles.
