Elmer posts two wins as Women's Swimming & Diving team falls 152-89 at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD — Despite a pair of wins from junior Amy Elmer, the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team fell to Wittenberg 152-89 at the HPER Center Natatorium on Friday evening.
Ohio Northern moves to 4-2 overall after the non-conference meet, while the Tigers remain unbeaten at 6-0.
Elmer won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 200.85, before also winning the 3-meter with a mark of 206.70.
Junior Mackenzie Hoffman added a victory in the 200 Free, edging the competition by more than 2.5 seconds with her time of 2:02.62
In the 500 Free, senior Michelle Eggers' time of 5:30.04 was good for a second-place finish.
Freshman Taylor McCabe also earned a runner-up spot, finishing second in the 200 I.M. in 2:17.60.
Scoring right behind Elmer, sophomore Adriana Jones took second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 157.50.
Sophomore Cait Munro touched second in the 100 Fly, with a time of 1:02.70.
The Polar Bears will remain idle until after Thanksgiving, when they hit the road to participate in the Wooster Invitational from Dec. 1-3. Prelim events are set to begin at 11 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
