Women's Soccer to begin Ben Tierney era Sept. 1 against Wittenberg

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team will open the Ben Tierney era on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023 against Wittenberg at Kerscher Stadium.
Northern will continue its season-opening homestand by hosting Case Western Reserve on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 2 pm.
The Polar Bears will then go on a four-match road swing when they travel to Texas to face Hardin-Simmons (Tex.) on Sept. 8 and Mary Hardin-Baylor (Tex.) on Sept. 9.
A trip to Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) on Sept. 15 and a neutral-site contest with Christopher Newport (Va.) at Capital on Sept. 17 will conclude the trip.
Northern closes out its non-conference slate with a home match with Denison on Sept. 20 and a road contest at DePauw (Ind.) on Sept. 23.
The Polar Bears open Ohio Athletic Conference play at Mount Union on Sept. 30.
Northern will also host conference foes Capital, Heidelberg, Wilmington and Marietta.
Other OAC road games include those at Otterbein, John Carroll, Muskingum and Baldwin Wallace.
The six-team OAC Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 4.
ONU was 14-2-5 overall and won the OAC Regular Season title with a 7-0-2 record.
The Polar Bears won their fifth OAC Tournament championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships.
