WOOSTER — Junior Sandy Plunkett scored in the 58th minute, leading the No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Earlham (Ind.) Saturday afternoon in the first match of the Wooster Invitational.
The Polar Bears remain undefeated at 1-0-2 on the season, while the Quakers fall to 2-1.
Plunkett's goal, her first of the season, came off an assist from sophomore Kristina Klusek with 35:53 left in the match.
Senior Erin Waehner earned the win in goal for ONU, who out-shot Earlham 12-2.
The Polar Bears will return to action Sunday at 9 am against tournament host Wooster.
